| Some of my customers have encouraged me to add a page just about me, so here goes! I am 26 years old and I live with my fiance and our 2 dogs in Wilmington, North Carolina. I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio with my wonderful parents and the best older sister I could ask for. I moved to Wilmington, North Carolina in 2000 and although I miss my friends and family very much, I have come to love Wilmington and everything it has to offer.
I have loved candles for as long as I can remember. When I decided to move, I also decided to end my employment with the Yankee Candle Company, a very sad thing for me to do. I had hoped to transfer to another Yankee Candle, but unfortunately there was not one open at the time in Wilmington. Boy did I stock up on candles before I moved! Obviously in need of a job, I turned to a staffing company for help. I began working in the office of a local car dealership and later came to find out that one reason I was even considered was because I had been employed with the Yankee Candle Co. The office manager at the time, who to this day is a very close friend of mine, told me later that she felt like we would get along well since we both loved candles! How funny is that? She later introduced me to Chris, so I often feel the need to thank her for everything she has done for me and the wonderful friendship we have developed.

| Soy wax walked into my life in October, 2003. Being the computer nut I am, I love checking out things on ebay. For Halloween that year, I decided I wanted to be crafty and make my own candles. I got on ebay, found a really cute kit with two pumpkin jars and all the makings. How easy was this going to be, right? Little did I know that was going to be the beginning of my soy candle obsession. The pumpkin candles were great, truth be told, I still have them and I put them out this past Halloween and they smelled great! After Halloween I decided I needed a hobby and wouldn't it be cool to make candles. I thought, I could make them for my friends, I could give them as gifts, I will DEFINITELY make them for myself, this is going to be great! I made a few for the girls at work and they were really impressed. Next thing I knew someone had given me a registration form to participate in a church craft fair in December. I was thrilled, I worked so hard for weeks making candles and labels and more candles and then even more candles. I did the craft show and was amazed at how many people were excited about Soy candles. I had a successful show which prompted me to think about what this could possibly turn into.

| Everything since then has been a great learning experience for me. Much to the amazement of many, I created this website. If you are looking at this now, it is because of the great many people who have been kind to me and encouraged me to try and make this work. I have learned that word of mouth is an easy marketing tool for someone starting out like I am. I have high hopes and dreams, I think about maybe one day having a store front full of candles with MY name on them. Maybe one day!

I enjoy making candles and I take care and consideration in each and every candle I make. I hope you will decide to try one of my creations and help me achieve my dream.
